
The heart of Manor Farm Hotel and Kitchen is our farm and garden. Everything from the interiors of the bedrooms to the products used in our treatments has been inspired by local produce from our farm and garden.
Spreading over 2000 acres, our farm provides the Kitchen with seasonal produce. Part of the movement into regenerative farming, Thirsk Hall Estates farms the land sustainably; with a large focus on reintroducing historic farming methods to become self-sustaining and environmentally friendly.
We farm a wide variety of crops from potatoes, grains, vegetables and even wild bird seed. Our home-reared livestock includes cattle, pigs and Jacob sheep and we manage the estate to encourage wild game populations. There is not a commercial shoot on the farm, and we only shoot what game is required within the Kitchen.
